What are the basic coverages of Motor Insurance?

To Indemnify Loss and/ or Damage by:

   Fair Market Value- this is the basis of arriving, at the estimate of the value to be
   used as the limit of liability for the loss and damage cover.

1. Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance (CTPL):

Coverage against liability arising from death or bodily injury of third parties from accidents. This is further subject to the Schedule of Indemnities stated in the policy.

Limit of Liability under Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance Subject to Inner Limits set per type of defined accommodations or Professional services extended to a third party.

2. No Fault Indemnity:
Ensures the protection of third party against bodily injury and/ or death without the necessity of proving fault or negligence of any king provided:

  • The Total Indemnity of any one third party shall not exceed P15,000.00
  • The Following Documents shall submitted:
  • Police report of the accident or any evidence sufficient to establish the claim;
  • Medical Reports and evidence of medical or hospital expenses;
  • Death Certificate and evidence sufficient to establish the proper payee.

3. Loss and Damage
Protection and covers the Insured against loss or damage to the Insured motor vehicle and also to its built-in accessories resulting from

  1. Accidental collision or overturning;
  2. Fire, External Explosion, Self Ignition or Lightning;
  3. Burglary, Housebreaking or theft;
  4. Malicious Act;
  5. Damage Incurred while on inland transit
  6. Pay in Cash the amount of Loss or Damage
  7. Repair, Reinstate
  8. Replace the Vehicle 

4. Excess Liability Insurance (Third Party):

Excess Liability against Death/Bodily Injury. This will respond after the CTPL cover of 100,000.00 has been exhausted and no longer subject to the Schedule of Indemnities. Coverage varies from 100,000.00 to 500,000.00

Excess Liability against Property Damage - covers insurance to damage to properties of third parties varying from 100,000 to 500,000

5. Automobile Personal Accident Insurance:

This covers insurance to occupants riding in, board in, or alighting out of the insured's motor vehicles.

Benefits provided are:

a. Death

b. Burial and Funeral Expenses

c. Bodily Injuries and Fractures

d. Medical Reimbursement

What is deductible?

Deductible- this is the participation of the ensured for each and every loss/ damage. It is also called Participation/ Franchise Deductibles.
